YEAR 2024 “NATIONAL DRIVERS’ DAY” AND “BEST DRIVER IN NIGERIA” COMPETITION AND AWARDS EVENTS IN NIGERIA.

Global and National Research Reports affirmed that over 80 percent of the Road Traffic Crashes (Accidents) were caused by the Human Factors while 70 percent were attributed to Drivers. It is therefore an undeniable fact that the role of Drivers is very significant in the prevention of Road Traffic Crashes, Injuries and Deaths globally and in Nigeria. In order to key into the global trend of initiating activities and projects to boost Driver Motivation, Driver Education and Road Safety in Nigeria, our Organization, Professional Driving and Safety Academy in collaboration with Road Safety Stakeholders has initiated and commenced the Annual National Drivers’ Day and Awards event in Nigeria in November 2023. The Event is structured to hold in the 3rd week of November every year to complement the Annual World Day of Remembrance of Road Traffic Victims.

WHO IS A DRIVER?

A Driver is any man or woman from 18 years old and above who moves a vehicle on the road either as a job or occupation, for business and for pleasure or personal purpose

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?

All Drivers of Government Ministries, Departments and Agencies at the Federal, State and Local Government levels, Drivers of all levels of private sector Organisation, Drivers of Educational Institutions, Drivers of Commercial Vehicles, Riders of Tricycles and motorcycles, Drivers of Self-own vehicles and others.

PRIZES ?

Best Driver Award – Brand New Car worth N20m (Twenty Million Naira) and N2m (Two Million Naira) cash.
1^st Runner up – N5m (Five Million Naira) cash.
2^nd Runner up – N3m (Three Million Naira) cash.
Prizes for the 4^th to 10^th Positions – N1m(One million naira) cash each.
Varieties of Consolation Prizes for all other Participants (No loser).
